Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how and why the websiteakoko.gr uses cookies and similar technologies. Our website is informational: we sell nothing directly, take no payments and keep no customer accounts — orders are placed exclusively through our partner platforms (efood, Wolt, Box). For this reason, the cookies we use are few and limited to what is strictly necessary for the operation and security of the site.

The data controller is ELLINIKO KOTETSI E.E. («ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟ ΚΟΤΕΤΣΙ Ε.Ε.», Hellenic Kotetsi LP; VAT 802026431, GEMI 168410503000), seated at Solomou 1, Neo Psychiko, Athens. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, mobile or tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the site to "remember" your actions and preferences for a period of time, so you don't have to enter them again. Similar technologies (e.g. local storage, pixels) serve equivalent purposes and are also covered by this policy.

Cookies are either first-party, placed by our own website, or third-party, placed by external service providers. Depending on their lifespan, they are eithersession cookies (deleted as soon as you close your browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a defined period).

2. Categories of cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These are essential for the basic operation and security of the site and cannot be disabled through our systems. They do not require your consent, because without them the site does not work properly. This category includes the security cookies of Cloudflare (protection against malicious traffic and bots) and the cookies ofCloudflare Turnstile, the verification system that protects our forms (contact, job applications, newsletter) from automated submissions.

2.2 Functional cookies

These are activated when you use specific features. On theContact page we embed a Google Maps map so you can easily find our restaurant; loading the map may set Google cookies. If you do not visit the Contact page, these cookies are not activated.

2.3 Statistics & Marketing cookies

These would allow us to understand how the site is used and to assess the effectiveness of our promotion. Today, these tools arenot active. When enabled, they will involve Google Analytics 4, the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity, and will beenabled only with your consent, through the cookie banner that will appear at official launch. No statistics or marketing cookie is placed before you give your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Cookie table

The table below summarises the cookies. The exact names and durations of third-party cookies are determined by their providers and may change.

4. How to manage or withdraw your consent

You have full control over cookies. You can manage them in the following ways:

  • Through the cookie banner: once it goes live, you will be able to accept or reject the statistics and marketing categories and change your choice at any time.
  • Through your browser: every browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) lets you view, block or delete cookies from within its settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works, e.g. submitting forms.

Because the statistics and marketing cookies are not yet active, no action is required from you at this time to avoid them.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party providers (Cloudflare, Google and, in the future, Meta and Microsoft). These providers process data under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We have no control over the cookies set by third parties beyond configuring whether and when they are activated on our site.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy, in particular when the statistics and marketing tools and the related consent banner are activated. Any change will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

7. Contact & your rights

For any question regarding cookies or the protection of your data, contact us at hello@akoko.gr or on 210 671 0023. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
